Relevant Background Materials
Army senior leaders have approved a new strenuous fitness test designed to better prepare Soldiers for combat tasks, reduce injuries and lead to ample cost savings across the service.
1st Sgt. Diamond Ott talks with Men's Health about the new Army Combat Fitness Test. "When I joined the Army, we ran a lot and did the basics: pushups, situps, drills. The new fitness test is more well rounded."
Reasons to Partner
We would like to include "The Rock", who has traditionally supported servicemembers, in a celebration that would give him further reach and resonance with an Army that is more than one million personnel strong (not including their families, supporters, and Veterans), while reaching a wider audience through Mr. Johnson's following with regard to these Soldiers' stories and awareness of opportunities available through the Army -- to make a difference, to be a part of something bigger than yourself, to better yourself, and achieve your goals. This is an opportunity for both Mr. Johnson and team, and the Army to gather organic, engaging content as he speaks candidly with these Soldiers about fitness, Polynesian roots, shared work ethic, and humility; all tenets of both the Rock's brand and the Army's.
